Day 01 : Bangalore - Belur - Kalasa
Our representative will welcome you at Bangalore drive to Belur, which is located on the banks of the River Yagachi, a star shaped temple with hand lathe-turned filigreed pillars and sculptures will take your breath away. The temple, perched on a star shaped base amidst lawns, is a sculptural extravaganza and one of the finest examples of Hoysala workmanship. Visit this beautiful temple and then drive to Kalasa, a small scenic town situated in the Western Ghats of Chikmagalur district and blessed by nature with beautiful hills, rivers, valleys, viewpoints, waterfalls, forests, coffee/tea estates, temples, etc. Kalasa is one of the important shooting destinations of Karnataka and many south Indian movies are shot at this beautiful heaven on the earth. On arrival at Kalasa, check in to the hotel and then visit Kalaseshwara Temple is situated in Kalasa on the banks of Bhadra River. The Shiva linga present here has been installed by Sage Agasthya himself along with the silver dome. Return to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Kalasa - Sringeri
Morning drive to Horanadu. Horanadu is a place of enchanting natural landscape in Chikmagalur district. First visit Horanadu View Point, where you have beautiful view of Horanadu and surrounding hills. Then visit ancient temple of the goddess Annapoorneshwari - goddess of Food. Return to the hotel and after breakfast, checkout the hotel and proceed to beautiful Tea Estate at Samse. Samse is located at a distance of 10 Km from Kalasa. The tea estate is very beautiful and scenic where nature has spread a loving carpet of green. The Sri Sarva Siddhi Ganapathy temple in the middle of the tea estate adds more beauty to the place and one will feel that he is in the cradle of nature and God. This awesome place will take some time to enjoy the beauty of the nature. Then enjoy the amazing landscape drive to witness the beauty of Kudremukh National Park. Then drive to Sringeri - (Sringeri Sharada Peeta), the first mutt established by jagadguru Sri Adishankara (Shankracharya) and located on the banks of Tunga river. Sringeri is home to a number of historic temples. On arrival at Sringeri, visit to Sri Sharadamba temple and offer prayers to Goddess of Knowledge and get her blessings. Then visit nearest Sri Vidyashankara temple and other shrines in the temple premises. Then you can have lunch at temple dining hall. Check in to the hotel and relax for some time. Evening, drive to Kigga is a beautiful village situated on the banks of Nandini River, a tributary of Tunga. Kigga is famous for Rishya Shringeshwara temple. The temple houses a linga of a unique shape, with three protuberances resembling horns. Return to the hotel and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03 : Sringeri - Kundadri - Kavaledurga Fort - Thirthahalli - Mrugavadhe - Shivamogga
Morning, after breakfast at 7.30 AM, check out the hotel and drive to Kundadri is a hill with dense forests in the Western Ghats located in Shimoga District. This hill is known for 17th century Jain temple dedicated to Jain thirthankara. Then drive to Kavaledurga Fort is a 9th-century fort and it was the fourth and last capital of Keladi kingdom. The fort at Kavaledurga has three lines of walls, which are constructed of huge granite blocks following the natural contour of the hillock. Each fortification has a gateway flanked by guard-rooms on either side in between the fortifications there are temples, a ruined palace site and basement of structures. Then drive to Thirthahalli town located on the banks of River Tunga surrounded by the dense forests of Western Ghats. On arrival at Thirthahalli, visit Rameshwara Temple one of the main Hindu Temples constructed on the banks of the river Tunga. Sri Rameshwara Temple is near the place Parashurama Thirtha. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple has a Shiva Lingam which is believed to have been installed by Parashurama. Then visit nearest Tunga Bridge - unique bridge constructed across river Tunga by Sir M Visvesvaraya. Then visit Mrugavadhe is a place in Thirthahalli taluk where Rama killed a deer (Mayajinke) on request made by his wife Sita during the times of Ramayana. Then drive Shivamogga is part of Malnad region and it is also known as the Gateway to Malnad. Shivamogga is famous for its landscapes, forts, Bird Sanctuaries, waterfalls and historical places. On arrival at Shivamogga, check in to the hotel and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 : Shivamogga - Bangalore
Morning after breakfast, check out the hotel, and drive to Sakrebailu Elephant Camp, where number of elephants will be trained by experienced Mahouts. Elephants from the nearby forests arrives this place to take bath, have snacks and play in the Backwaters of River Tunga before they go back to the forest. It is an amazing experience to see the elephants playing in water especially for kids. Then drive to Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore, you will be transferred to Bangalore and drop at a designated point in Bangalore.
